Nicholas Cathedral is a Russian Orthodox church with very traditional background of relics and icons. A very impressive structure with ornate gold domes, built in 1909. The Cathedral was closed for a few years and used as a stable for Bolshevik cavalry and later by the Soviet regime. The cathedral was re-opened in about 1980, and services have continued since.
